Giving warmth and raising awareness through charitable knitting. |

Awareness, Respect, Compassion |

Refugees facing starvation and torture in North Korea need warm knitted items to survive the winter months in China, Mongolia, and Russia...
Abused and abandoned animals deserve as much comfort and care as we can give them. They need mental stimulation too, to reduce boredom while waiting to be adopted... |

Knitting Projects |
1. Get a pair of chopsticks with a round circumference the next time you order food from anywhere that gives out chopsticks. 2. Put them into your pencil sharpener (preferably electric for a smoother finish). 3. Sandpaper the ends so that they are pointed enough to pick up stitches, but dull enough that you don’t poke your fingertips and make them sore from knitting (Fig. 1). 4. Add some decorative clay or large beads to secure ends. Superglue helps keep the clay on. You can even paint and varnish them for a lovely finish (Fig. 2). 5. Knit for ARC or your favorite charity, and enjoy!
